Bayou Snappers Tournament Team
The Bayou Snappers Tournament Team is a competitive travel hockey program representing the Lafayette Amateur Hockey Association (LAHA) at tournaments throughout Louisiana and the surrounding states. Designed for players who are looking to challenge themselves beyond regular league play, the Snappers provide additional opportunities for skill development, teamwork, and game experience against a variety of competition.
Our program focuses on developing confident, hardworking athletes while promoting sportsmanship, respect, and a love for the game. Players have the opportunity to build lasting friendships, represent our community with pride, and create unforgettable memories both on and off the ice.
Tournament schedules, travel information, hotel accommodations, roster updates, and team communications will all be available here throughout the season.
Ages
12U
When
Tryouts are in May. Tournaments will run from November until June.
Where
Majority of practices will be at Planet Ice Rink in Lafayette, LA.
Practices
Team practices will be once a month. With the possibility of twice a month.
Games
Teams will play 25-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Jerseys are included in equipment fee.
Extra Costs
Expect team managers to collect funds to cover extra practice fees.

Registration & Team Selection Process
Interested in joining the 12U Bayou Snappers Tournament Team? Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Register
Complete the online registration to express your interest in joining the team. Registration allows our staff to gather player information and begin the evaluation process.
Step 2: Schedule a Tryout
Once your registration has been received, a member of our staff will contact you to schedule a tryout date and time for your player.
Step 3: Player Evaluation
Players will be evaluated by our coaching staff based on skill level, effort, attitude, and overall fit for the team.
Step 4: Team Offers
Players selected for a roster spot will receive an official offer through Crossbar. The offer will include registration instructions, payment options, and any applicable deadlines.
Step 5: Accept Your Spot
To secure your player's place on the roster, families must accept the offer and complete the required registration and payment process before the offer deadline.
